The Caterers Linen Supply Support Kai We Care!

The Caterers Linen Supply were delighted to support the brilliant ‘Kai We Care’ event.

Kai We Care

The event was a charity pop-up Supper Club Restaurant, held to support victims of the devastating earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand in February.

The name 'Kai We Care' was born from Kai being the Maori word for food. Thanks to the social networking website Twitter the event held on Monday 4th April 2011 exploded from being a simple dinner for around 30 guests to a huge evening with 200 guests. It was hosted in the elegant rooms of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, One Moorgate Place, London.

We were delighted to support the event and to provide all the linen for the evening free of charge.

5 Michelin-starred chefs, together with a host of multiple AA-rosette winners and TV chefs came together for this great cause. Around 100 hospitality professionals including Russell Brown, Dominic Chapman and Simon Hulstone worked together to produce a nine-course tasting menu.

At last count ‘Kai We Care’ had raised over £60,000 which will be donated to the British Red Cross Christchurch Earthquake Fund.
